Thank you, previous home owners...

Thank you, previous owners of our home, for planting all those flowers.

Thank you for planting flowers that have managed to bloom spectacularly without my doing anything.

Thank you for being so clever in your landscaping that when one type of flower stops blooming, the next starts.

It's like waiting for a surprise every couple of weeks; we never know what beautiful thing is going to pop up next!

And thank you most of all, previous owners, for planting flowers that don't seem to require any effort on my part. (Because we all know they'd be long dead by now if they were dependent on me to remember to water/weed/care for them.)

Even my 18 month old appreciates it. He walks around the yard pointing to flowers and saying, "pritty."
